I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon, where I double majored in Communication Disorders & Sciences and Psychology. I went on to earn a Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Portland State University. During my graduate studies, I was honored to receive the Researcher of the Year Award for the Class of 2026 in recognition of my research examining digital technology use among individuals with aphasia. I am also certified in the Speak OUT program for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. My professional interests include adult neurological rehabilitation, with a focus on stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson’s disease, aphasia, cognitive-communication disorders, dysphagia, voice disorders, and motor speech disorders.
